City Government of Bandar Lampung Disburses IDR 4.25 Billion for 85 Islamic Boarding Schools

Berdikari.co, Bandar Lampung - The City Government of Bandar Lampung has disbursed IDR 4.25 billion from the regional budget for 85 Islamic boarding schools. Thus, each pesantren gets a budget of IDR 50 million which is given once a year.

"Yes, the financial assistance is only for Islamic boarding schools, indeed we have 85 Islamic boarding schools. Orphanages are different," said Mayor of Bandar Lampung, Eva Dwiana, after symbolically providing assistance to Islamic boarding schools, in the Semorgou building, Tuesday 31 January 2023.

He asked for prayers from the leaders of the Islamic boarding schools so that regional income in Bandar Lampung this year would increase.

"Because in the future there will be a lot of sustenance, later there will be even more assistance, and mother asks us to always unite for the sake of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

Plt. The Head of the Bandar Lampung City Social Service, Aklim Suhadi conveyed, the assistance was divided into two phases, each worth IDR 25 million.

"So the total annual assistance given to each pesantren is IDR 50 million," said Aklim.

According to him, the assistance was provided with the aim of improving the standard of living of various people in Bandar Lampung City.

"Furthermore, to improve relations between the Bandar Lampung city government and the leadership of the Islamic boarding school," he explained.

The leader of the Al Karomah Bathiniyah Islamic Boarding School, Ade Agus Yadi, said he was grateful to the Bandar Lampung City Government for providing this assistance.

“This financial assistance really helps our pesantren's operations. Such as buying rice, buying electricity, school fees and paying assistant teachers at Islamic boarding schools," said Ade. (*)
